Services
Blue Architects operates a modular approach to the services provided which allows clients to select some or all aspects according to their individual needs and budget. Services are as follows:
- Free initial consultation – Maximum 1 hour by phone or visit to establish whether project likely to require any architectural services.
- Initial meeting/discussion – to discuss thoughts, requirements and outline possible options, design solutions, opportunities and development ideas.
- Survey – in order to create suitable drawings of existing buildings and take photographs in order that precise plans, elevations and sections can be drawn up.
- Follow up meetings/discussions/design consultation – to discuss and clarify designs and proposals and plan the way forward including where necessary investigating planning consent and building regulation issues or computer modelling proposals.
- Project drawings - to include on which planning applications can be based.
- Planning Consent applications – including plans, elevations and sections, a design statement and any other necessary supporting documentation.
- Party Wall requirements –obtaining necessary agreements where works effect a wall, fence or other part of a neighbouring structure within the specified criteria.
- Building control /Full plans/building regulations – drawn up and submitted to the Local Authority for approval. Includes follow up communication and negotiation with the Local Authority as necessary.
- Detail drawings – to include detailed notes on construction, schedule of works, product and material specification and sourcing.
- Project management, including identification of contractors, preparation of contract documentation, meetings with contractors and consultants and site visits, contract administration and valuation, snagging and contract completion services. A project manager is assigned to attend site meetings and provide on-going technical advice.
- Interior design – including internal layouts, heating, lighting, kitchen and bathroom design.
